CONTOUR 2013 STELT KUNSTENAARSSELECTIE VOOR OP ART BRUSSELS

De curator Jacob Fabricius (DK) presenteert tijdens de internationale kunstbeurs Art Brussels (18 – 21 april) de kunstenaarsselectie voor Contour 2013, 6de Biënnale voor Bewegend Beeld.

Voorafgaand aan de bekendmaking van de kunstenaars kan je een panelgesprek bijwonen: ‘The Pleasures and Challenges of Collecting and Presenting Video’.

Het panel bestaat uit: David Claerbout, kunstenaar, Antwerpen (BE); Ilga Minjon, co-curator, Impakt, Utrecht (NL); Hans Op de Beeck, kunstenaar, Brussel (BE); Isabelle & Jean-Conrad Lemaître, collectioneurs, Parijs (FR). Moderator van dienst is Rolf Quaghebeur, directeur van Argos, het Centrum voor Kunst en Media in Brussel (BE).

Het panelgesprek wordt georganiseerd door Contour en Art Brussels. Het vindt plaats op donderdag 18 april om 15:00 op The Stage in Hal 3 van Brussels Expo. Aansluitend, om 16:15, worden de kunstenaars van Contour 2013 voorgesteld tijdens een persconferentie.

CONTOUR 2013 PRESENTS ARTISTS’ SELECTION AT
ART BRUSSELS

Curator Jacob Fabricius (DK) will present the artists’ selection for Contour 2013, 6th Biennial of Moving Image, during the international art fair Art Brussels (18 – 21 April).

The announcement of the artists will be preceded by a panel discussion: ‘The Pleasures and Challenges of Collecting and Presenting Video’.

Speakers include: David Claerbout, artist, Antwerp (BE); Ilga Minjon, co-curator, Impakt, Utrecht (NL); Hans Op de Beeck, artist, Brussels (BE); Isabelle & Jean-Conrad Lemaître, collectors, Paris (FR). The panel will be moderated by Rolf Quaghebeur, director of the Argos Centre for Art and Media, Brussels (BE).

The panel discussion, which is co-organised by Art Brussels and Contour, takes place on Thursday 18 April at 15:00 on The Stage in Hall 3 at Brussels Expo. Following the discussion, at 16:15, the artists of Contour 2013 will be announced during a press conference.
